South Quay Plaza, the UK’s tallest residential condo scheme, is about to be launched by the contractor Berkeley Homes. Great hopes have been pinned by the developers that the residential project will bring sustainable, mixed and dynamic development in the area. The plaza covering an area of more than one million square feet will comprise 68 storey building, two towers of 220m and 23 storey towers, 888 residential apartments, more than 180 homes and other shops like cafes, restaurants and shopping malls. The residential scheme is all set to bring about great swaps in the vicinity.
Berkeley Homes will create 1.6 acres landscape space for the public to give the condo a natural and aesthetically attractive look. The exposure of the plaza to nearby areas provides excellent opportunities for business and travelling, and the proximity will get enhanced with the Crossrail in 2018 that will be connecting these places in less than 40 minutes. The architecture and the interior of the condo is being designed by Foster + Partners; that has gained huge reputation after the successful completion of a number of architectural projects including The British Museum, Hong Kong International Airport and the Hearst Tower in New York.
The scheme has been designed in such an elegant and professional way that every area presents the real look of urban designs and urban areas. It will contain bedrooms of one, two or three rooms, penthouses and the studios for commercial purposes. The design of the tower will tilt it a 45 degree so that everyone can enjoy the beauty and natural scenes of outside areas. In addition to this, the scheme is fully equipped with all latest and modern facilities like gym, restaurants, health and fitness clubs, spas and bars.
The transportation network, no doubt, is a great testimony of fantastic urban planning and designs. The sustainability and accessibility of any place can be judged by the intelligent network of transport. This is what has been guaranteed to the fullest. The Managing Director of Berkeley Homes expressed his remarks that Berkeley Homes believes in providing the modern, sustainable and easy accessible housing schemes that also ensure the great representation of successful planning. He added that they would create a vast landscaped area with the help of Foster + Partners.
The scheme has been designed in professional ways, and every care was paid to inside and outside elements of the building. This place is expected to be one of the conspicuous places of London to live in and spend a perfect life. The scheme will start in 2016, but the permission was issued in 2015 to initiate the planning process. It will take a long time to complete, and the first phase is predicted to be completed in 2020.
