Whether you aspire to be a “hands on” or “arm’s length” landlord, we have a package to suit. We offer both a ‘tenant finding’ only or ‘full property management’ service, including 24 hour property maintenance support.

We pride ourselves on our professionalism and are covered by NALS and Ombudsman Scheme for Estate Agents, plus we are members of the Tenants Deposit Scheme (TDS) meaning that we authorized to hold bonds on landlords’ behalf.

Fees for Letting

The fees below (inclusive of VAT) are an indication of what landlords will expect to pay when letting out their property through McQueen Estates, and are based on our standard agency fees of 8% plus VAT for our Letting, 9% plus VAT for Rent Collection Service and 14% for our Full Management Service – subject to negotiation.

For a two bedroom apartment let at £450 per week, we would expect the following charges (inclusive of VAT) to apply:


  • Property Inspection Report & Inventory Check in Fee: from £120 -£180
  • Legal Tenancy Administration Cost of £50
  • Tenancy Deposit Registration Fee £25
  • Pre – Tenancy Clean £120 – £300 (these figures may vary due to size scale of clean required).

During the Tenancy:

  • Renewal Tenancy Administration £75
  • The letting Fee at 8% plus VAT for a two bedroom apartment let at £450 per week will equate to £1872 plus VAT. This is taken at the commencement of the tenancy from rent collected
  • The Management Fee at 14% plus VAT on a letting agreed at £450 per week will equate to £273 plus VAT taken on a monthly basis for the term of the tenancy*

*The Letting and management fee is a tax deductible expense when operating as a buy-to-let investor.
